Phyllis Pransky stated that “My highest goal is to bring my paintings to life. I aim to capture what inspires me the most, the romantic, natural, luminous, opalescent, healing light of SW Florida. When I am in the process of painting I am actually meditating on the beauty & phenomenon of the light falling, flowing, cascading, skipping, or bouncing on my subject & I am completely at peace.”

Phyllis is an American Painter educated in the Principles of Fine Art. Paintings are executed in high quality oil paints on canvas or occasionally on board. She prefers painting alla prima (direct and immediate painting) - “as I see it, I paint it”. Phyllis’ philosophy is “A good painter can paint anything light falls upon: therefore my subject matter is varied. I paint landscape, seascape, cityscapes, marine paintings, indoor and outdoor portraits and florals on location.

Back at the studio I study the painting and perhaps may enhance it. I trust the viewer will recognize the meditative quality of each painting & hopefully accept my invitation to enter the scene. My paint brush aims at the viewer’s heart as well as their intellect but mostly I hope to bring an increased awareness of the beauty of SW Florida and its very special light.
