Waterfront Studios is one of the three studios that form the Marco Island Artist Colony at the Esplanade.
We are located on the scenic Smokehouse Bay of the Esplanade Shoppes and around the corner
from CJ's on the Bay and The Starbar.

Beautiful Marco Island, Florida is the largest and the northernmost of the 10,000 islands. Gulf waters lap beautiful sugar sand beaches, palm trees sway gently in the sub-tropical breeze and wildlife abounds.

The Artist Colony at the Esplanade.

The visionary management of the Esplanade decided to promote a healthy economy by taking a chance when
a Marco Island artist suggested of a cooperative venture between the Esplanade management, Marco Island Center for the Arts, Marco Island Foundation for the Arts and the talented artists of Marco Island. Everyone involved recognized the potential of the project, took a giant leap of faith, and created a working artist colony.

Three studio/galleries, Portside Studio, Rightside Studios, and Waterfront Studios & Gallery now house working fine artists. The artists include painters, a collage/assemblage artist, photographers, a concrete artist, a potter, a digital artist and jewelry designer. The work they create is available for your viewing pleasure and for purchase. Several of the artists will be happy to create a special work of art just for you.

Bring your friends, meet someone special, or just come walk the galleries and talk with the artists. You'll soon have a favorite, or two, or three. Perhaps you'll become a collector.

While you're at the Artist Colony at the Esplanade Shoppes, you can have coffee at Starbucks, enjoy a cocktail at the beautiful Starbar with a view of Smokehouse Bay, or relax and refresh yourself at CJ's on the Bay, Tara Steak and Lobster House or Guy Harvey's Island Grill.
